Welcome to the RiverBed Rise FAQ page. Here you’ll find everything you need to know before booking your stay at our Tailem Bend holiday home.

Q: How many guests can RiverBed Rise accommodate?

RiverBed Rise comfortably sleeps up to 6 adult guests across three bedrooms, depending on your bedding configuration. We prefer a mix of 4 adults and 4 kids where possible.

Q: Is the property fully self-contained?

Yes — you’ll have full and private access to the entire home including kitchen, bathroom, laundry, living areas and backyard.

Q: Do you allow children?

Yes, RiverBed Rise is family-friendly and suitable for children of all ages.

Q: Is linen included?

Yes, all bedding, towels, bathroom linens and essential toiletries are provided. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash is available for use.

Q: Do you provide breakfast?

We provide a light continental start — cereal and milk. Guests are welcome to use the full kitchen to prepare meals.

Q: Does the home have heating and cooling?

Yes — reverse-cycle air conditioning ensures the home is comfortable year-round. Queen bed 1 and 2 both also have ceiling fans for extra comfort.

Q: Do you have Wi-Fi?

Yes — fast, reliable Wi-Fi is available throughout the home.

🚗 Parking, Transport & Location

Q: Is parking available?

Yes — free off-street parking is available for up to 2 vehicles. Any extra vehicles can park on the street for free.

Q: How far is RiverBed Rise from The Bend Motorsport Park?

Only 5 minutes by car, making us one of the most convenient places to stay for events and race weekends.

Q: How far is the property from the Murray River?

The home is located on the rivers edge — You can walk down the river side hill to the river (it is all part of the property)

Q: How far is the house from town?

Tailem Bend’s town centre (shops, bakery, pub, supermarket, petrol station) is a 5-10 minute walk or short drive.

Q: How far is Tailem Bend from Adelaide?

Approximately 1 hour 10 minutes by car.

🍳 Kitchen, Food & Supplies

Q: What kitchen facilities are available?

The home includes:

• Full oven & cooktop

• Microwave

• Fridge/freezer

• Cookware & utensils

• Toaster, kettle

• Coffee/tea supplies (Including pod coffee machine)

• Dinnerware & glassware

Q: Is there a supermarket nearby?

Yes — the Tailem Bend Foodland is open & days from 7am-7pm. We also have many service stations around town.

Q: Do you supply cooking basics?

We provide essentials like oil spray, salt/pepper, tea, coffee, and other basics.

🧼 Cleaning, Laundry & Essentials

Q: Is cleaning included?

Cleaning between stays is included.
(If needed, you can add a mid-stay clean for longer stays — just ask.)

Q: Do you provide a washing machine and dryer?

We only have a washing machine with supplied detergent. No dryer.

Q: Do I need to bring toiletries?

We provide basic toiletries, towels, hand wash, and shower essentials (shampoo, conditioner, body wash).

Q: Do you provide an iron?

Yes — iron and ironing board available.

💬 Check-in, Check-out & Booking Info

Q: What are the check-in/check-out times?

• Check-in: 2:00pm

• Check-out: 10:00am

(Early check-in may be available for a fee depending on bookings.)

Q: How do I check in?

Self-check-in with a personal digital access code. Details are sent before arrival.

Q: Do you offer long-stay discounts?

Yes — weekly and monthly extended-stay discounts available. Contact us directly.

Special Requests

Q: Do you allow events or parties?

No — RiverBed Rise is a quiet, family-friendly home and not suitable for parties.

Q: Can I request a portable cot or high chair?

Yes — depending on availability. Please ask before arrival. Our portable cot is always available at the house, however if you would like us to provide sheets, please let us know. High chair can be provided upon request.

🌿 Outdoor & River Access

Q: Is the river accessible from the home?

Yes — the home is located on the edge of the river. Please ensure you stay to our property riverfront only.

Q: Can I swim or fish nearby?

Fishing and riverside activities are most certainly okay! If fishing, please ensure you dispose of any caught fish appropriately.

Q: Can I bring a boat?

Small boats and kayaks are welcome. The nearest boat ramp is only a short drive away (approx 3-4 minutes)

🔐 Safety & Security

Q: Is the property secure?

Yes — the home is in a safe neighbourhood. We have CCTV in the driveway to ensure our guests are safe. The front door is code locked. Any other windows or doors will need to be locked from the inside.

Q: Do you have smoke alarms?

Yes — smoke alarms installed per Australian safety standards.

Q: Is the area safe at night?

Tailem Bend is a quiet, friendly regional community with low noise and low traffic.

🌧 Weather & Seasonal Info

Q: What is the weather like?

Tailem Bend gets warm summers and cool winters. Reverse-cycle air conditioning keeps your stay comfortable regardless.

Q: Are there bugs or mosquitos near the river?

Occasionally in warmer seasons — repellent is recommended to bring! We do provide indoor bug spray.
